Double Your Dollars: Help for Local Families

“Until this happened, we always had enough to get by.”

You probably know that things can be hard for low-income, working families.

For people just getting by, a one-time event – a medical emergency, major car repair, or death in the family – puts them at risk of losing their housing, their utilities, or their job.

The good news is that together, we can make a difference.

You can invest in the strength of our neighbors and the power of our community through our new Emergency Needs Fund – and Waste Management is willing to help double your impact.

The Emergency Needs Fund will help people with one-time, basic unmet needs. It is primarily aimed at working families who don’t have access to other forms of assistance and are unlikely to need help again in the future.

We need to raise $100,000 by the end of 2016 to meet the needs of our community. Thanks to a generous $50,000 gift from Waste Management, your donation to the Emergency Needs Fund will be matched $1 for $1 until the end of the year.

How it works:

  • Donate $100 or more to the Emergency Needs Fund by December 31, 2016.
  • Your gift will automatically be doubled.
  • Local families and seniors get help with one-time, basic unmet needs.

Only the first $50,000 donated will be eligible for a match from Waste Management, so act now!
