United Way of Bucks County works for a healthier community. We all know that good health is one of the building blocks to a great life. But for some, there are obstacles to good health. Our programs consider how to connect people to social, emotional and physical health. This can mean anything from providing teens with the tools to make healthy choices; giving older adults with access to in-home visits from caring community partners; ensuring pantries have nutritious meals; helping people with disabilities connect to home repairs on a sliding scale – and much more.
Based on our most recent Needs Assessment, we know that the focus in Bucks County must be on :
• Awareness of Information & Resources for Health Care
• Counseling and Support Services for Health Related Issues
• Senior Support Services
The programs we are investing in include: counseling and support services for health related issues, access to healthcare information and services, violence prevention education, drug and
alcohol counseling, crisis hotlines, and child abuse prevention. For a complete list of funded programs, click here.
