National Adoption Day Celebration 2016

There are about 400,000 children nationwide waiting to be adopted. Most of those kids will wait years before being placed into a permanent home or foster home.

Finding a loving home that is nurturing and supportive to the needs of those children is so important, not only to their development but to their whole well being.

This can be a lot of work for everyone involved. Thankfully, there are many people and organizations who dedicate their lives to changing the lives of these kids.

There are many people who work together in our community to make sure that those children are taken care of. That includes but is not limited to the case workers, the agencies that place the children and the families who welcome them into their homes. A lot of steps have to be taken in order to get these kids into safe homes.

They all have to work together to make it happen – and they do just that.

That’s why Bucks County Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans’ Court, Donald Petrille, Jr., Esquire, is honoring the people who help these children every day.

This year, in celebration of National Adoption Day, adopted and fostered children and their families will be recognized at the event hosted by Petrille and Huntingdon Valley Bank. Special recognition will be given to Bethanna for their extraordinary dedication to children in our community and beyond.

“Bethanna provides adoption, child welfare services, and behavioral health care in Philadelphia, Southeastern, and Central Pennsylvania. Their mission is to provide the highest quality system of care for children and families in order to ensure safety, restore emotional wellness, and build family stability.” http://bethanna.org/

This event will be held on November 18, 2016 at the Bucks County Administration Building Commissioners Meeting Room Doylestown, Pennsylvania from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
