United Way of Bucks County Welcomes New Board Members Amid Organizational Milestone

United Way of Bucks County announced updates to its leadership, welcoming new members to its Board of Directors and recognizing departing members for their service at a pivotal moment for the organization.

The nonprofit welcomed the following professionals to its Board of Directors:

  • Ioana Douglas, Director of Cleaning Services (EVS), PARX Casino
  • Casey Franz, Specialized Servicing & Fulfillment Operations, Bank of America
  • André Harrell, Co-Owner and Corporate Development, Mandee’s Treats
  • Mike Taylor, Park President, Sesame Place

“We’re proud to have a board made up of deeply committed leaders who bring a wide range of perspectives and expertise to this work,” said Marissa Christie, President & CEO at United Way of Bucks County. “We’re particularly excited to welcome these new members at such an important time for our organization. This is a milestone moment – one that will strengthen how we serve our neighbors and our entire community.”

The organization is preparing to open a new, permanent home for its headquarters and HELP Center on Edgely Road in Levittown this summer. By bringing programs, services, and partners together under one roof, the new site will create a centralized hub where families can access support more quickly, easily, and effectively.

United Way also recognized Randy Beaman, VP, Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking at Univest Bank & Trust, with its Board Excellence Award. This award honors a board member who demonstrates exceptional leadership and service in advancing the organization’s mission.

Since joining the Board of Directors in 2023, Beaman has taken on key leadership roles across major initiatives, including the headquarters and HELP Center relocation project and as Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee. His thoughtful perspective, disciplined approach, and strong commitment to the mission have made a meaningful impact in a short time.

United Way also expressed its gratitude to Tom Sofield, Publisher of Levittown Now and Newtown, PA Now, who is concluding his service after six years on the Board of Directors.
