Ensuring Every Child is Ready to Succeed When They Enter School
The goal of United Way’s Success By 6 early childhood initiative is to ensure that every child in Bucks County is prepared and ready to succeed by the time they enter school.
We know – and research continues to confirm – that high-quality early education is one of the best investments we can make to strengthen our community. It significantly improves school readiness and increases the likelihood of high school graduation and college enrollment. Long term, this early investment gives us better educated adults – adults who are ready to be financially self-sufficient contributors to Bucks County.
United Way cares a great deal about our children. We actively pursue a number of educational and advocacy efforts to build a community of children who enter school ready to succeed and ready to maximize their true potential. Our children are our future and they are what matters™.
UW Bucks Pre-K Scholarships
United Way of Bucks County offers quality early education scholarships to low and moderate income families throughout the county. We use various funding streams and partner with some of the best early education providers to ensure that hundreds of young children have access to high quality education.
We have a long history of using our Community Investment funds to promote early learning. We have identified it as one of our top priorities and will continue to explore and deepen our investments in the coming years.
