When people in Bucks County have the income needed to provide for their families and save for their futures, we are all better off. United Way of Bucks County believes that by bringing partners together to address this issue – by giving people a hand up so they can be financially self-sufficient and not just a hand out – we improve the condition of the entire community. We know that there are times when emergency needs must be met, but we also must look at underlying causes when people don’t have enough money for food and shelter. That’s why we care so much about training and workforce development, about the financial knowledge needed to build assets and savings, and about ensuring that there is safe, affordable housing in Bucks County.
The programs we are investing in include: emergency needs, hunger and food insecurity, street outreach, early child care and education, and information and referral services. For a complete list of funded programs, click here.
