#girlSTEM Conference

STEMThe 2017 #girlSTEM Conference is on Thursday, May 18, 2017. It is funded entirely by supporters of the Bucks County Women’s Initiative.

#girlSTEM ensure that all girls, regardless of income or background, have access to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and are exposed to STEM careers. #girlSTEM is run by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and hosted on the lovely campus of Delaware Valley University.

This event, which now serves over 800 local girls, is the biggest science, technology, engineering, and math conference for students in our community and has had tremendous results.

  • 93% of girls decided to take more STEM courses in high school
  • 80% of girls decided to declare a STEM major in college
  • 82% of girls decided to pursue a STEM-related career
