Grant Administrator, Pre-K Counts

United Way of Bucks County is looking for a full-time Grant Administrator for Pre-K Counts. Pre-K Counts makes free, high-quality early education available to low- and moderate-income families.

In this role, you will help young children and their families get the support and services they need. You will also help United Way of Bucks County sustain, improve, and expand this program.

You will:

  • Promote Pre-K Counts: Update and distribute materials, work with partners to build awareness of United Way’s Pre-K Counts scholarships, and attend meetings and events as needed.
  • Coordinate recruitment: Work on recruitment strategies and respond to inquiries from families, caseworkers, and other sources.
  • Coordinate enrollment: Help review and score applications, connect families with Pre-K partners and other programs & services as needed, and work with families and Pre-K partner sites to complete enrollment.
  • Monitor student progress, program data, and grant compliance: There are many details that need to be monitored – everything from student attendance and health screenings to partner budgets and support documents for audits.
  • Provide significant administrative support: Our coordinator supports our manager with all administrative functions.

You must:

  • Care deeply about helping children and families.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in grants or education (preferably both).
  • Be self-directed, a hard-worker, and show great attention to detail.
  • Be a passionate lifelong learner and care about building new skills.
  • Love finding efficient ways to work and be extremely comfortable with technology.
  • Enjoy working with all kinds of people and love delivering exceptional customer service.

Assistant Director, Pre-K Counts

United Way of Bucks County is looking for a full-time Assistant Director for our Pre-K Counts grant. Pre-K Counts makes free, high-quality early education available to low- and moderate-income families.

In this role, you will help young children and their families get the support and services they need. You will also help United Way of Bucks County sustain, improve, and expand this program.

You will:

  • Work with United Way of Bucks County’s Education Director to monitor program quality and assist Pre-K site directors and teachers with meeting quality standards and improving instruction and classroom environments.
  • Work with UW Bucks Education Director and teacher evaluation team to coordinate coaching and training for teachers.
  • Work with Pre-K site directors and teachers to develop and implement professional development and continuous quality improvement plans.
  • Assist teachers and Pre-K site directors with identifying and coordinating classroom and family supports including early intervention, mental health, behavior support, and other services as needed.
  • Provide administrative support: assist with recruitment and enrollment as needed by distributing materials, attending meetings, responding to inquiries, reviewing and scoring applications, and finalizing enrollment.

You must:

  • Care deeply about helping children and families.
  •  Have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Work, or other related degree
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in early childhood education.
  • Be familiar with the PA Early Learning Standards, Keystone STARS, child care regulations, curriculum & assessment tools, etc.
  • Have experience coordinating or delivering trainings for educators, parents/families, or other adults.
  • Be self-directed, a hard-worker, and show great attention to detail.
  • Be a passionate lifelong learner and care about building new skills.
  • Love finding efficient ways to work and be extremely comfortable with technology.
  • Enjoy working with all kinds of people and love delivering exceptional customer service.
