Central Bucks Business Community Set to Stuff the Bus

Student volunteer Brian Bush helps business owner Brad Gruno (Brad’s Raw Foods) Stuff the Bus.

As President and Founder of the New Britain Township Business Alliance (NBTBA), it gives me great pleasure to announce that the new  “BUCKS BUSINESS STUFF THE BUS” campaign is underway.

United Way of Bucks County has been running the Stuff the Bus campaign for several years. Individuals and groups donate school supplies, which are distributed to kids in Bucks County.  Many are surprised to find out that there are more than 20,000 kids in our county who struggle to have basic needs met.  Last year, the need for school supplies was greater than the supply.

When AWEBER Communications heard this, they immediately formulated a plan.  In addition to planning a Bucks Business Stuff the Bus for their own team, they recruited other businesses and organizations.  Now, AWeber Communications, NBTBA, and the Merchants of Doylestown are all heavily involved.

The support has been amazing.  Now that all of the Route 202 corridor businesses and residents have an opportunity to get involved, we expect great results.  We will work together to ensure that all kids in Bucks County have access to Back to School supplies.

With these three top professional groups involved – along with our generous friends and neighbors – there is no reason why we cannot STUFF THE BUS to the top with much needed back to school items.  BUT- we cannot do it alone. We need your help and support to donate items for a backpack AND the backpacks themselves.

There are many drop off stores in Doylestown Boro:  Monkeys Uncle, Booktenders, Gross’ Gourmet Foods. That’s just naming three.  Trust me, there are many!

In New Britain Township, you can drop off your items to Frozen Cow Yogurt or simply call Leslie Bilotta at 267-337-0132 and we will be happy to assist you!

Once items are collected at local businesses, they will be delivered to AWeber Communications for sorting and packing so United Way of Bucks County can get them to the families that need them most.

This is a first of its kind event to work all of the way up the old Rt 202 Corridor, and I am a very proud President to work hand in hand with such great organizations for the common good of our kids in need! Special thanks to AWeber Communications and Monkey’s Uncle!

So, please help out, drop something off, ASAP, and thank you for your generosity!  For a complete list of needed items, visit www.uwbucks.org/StufftheBus.
