#girlSTEM Conference

The 2018 #girlSTEM Conference is on Thursday, May 24, 2018. It is funded entirely by supporters of the Bucks County Women’s Initiative and many generous sponsors.

#girlSTEM ensure that all girls, regardless of income or background, have access to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and are exposed to STEM careers. #girlSTEM is run by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and hosted on the lovely campus of Delaware Valley University.

This event, which now serves over 800 local girls, is the biggest science, technology, engineering, and math conference for students in our community and has had tremendous results.

Our #girlSTEM 2017 Results

  • 94% of girls decided to take more STEM courses in high school
  • 78% of girls decided to declare a STEM major in college
  • 80% of girls decided to pursue a STEM-related career

How to Help

  3. Be a Presenter: Registration is now open for presenters to share their knowledge and expertise at #girlSTEM! If you are a woman working in a STEM field, you can inspire middle and high school girls by sharing just 45 minutes of your time. Click here to register your potential session.
