Jordan Stokes honored for his service to the community

A news story about United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” caught the eye of Jordan Stokes and he has since caught the hearts of Bucks County residents.  Since 2010, Jordan has collected and donated $10,000 in school supplies and toys.  Jordan was one of twelve teens to recently receive the Young Citizens Award in Plumstead from the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce for selfless acts of kindness and reaching out to help others.

Jordan moves faster than your average 12-year-old; he has consistently been a major part of United Way of Bucks County’s drives for school supplies and toys for three years now and is definitely not skipping any beats.  He has inspired others to join his efforts by asking some of his friends to collect in their neighborhoods and the amount of supplies were quadrupled.  Jordan has become a part of the UWBC family and we are always thrilled to see his efforts impact others.
