Kit Kats Fight Hunger in Bucks

This month, there was a friendly competition in Bristol Borough as part of the fight against hunger. The Grundy Library and Bristol Borough branch of First Federal of Bucks County went head to head in a Kit Kat challenge to see who could raise more money for Bucks Knocks Out Hunger.

Each location started with a stash of Kit Kats that they would sell to the public. All the candy bars were donated by First Federal, so each bar sold was pure profit for BKO Hunger. The bank and library both sold out of candy surprisingly quickly, but with a pleasant twist.

Even after the box of Kit Kats at Grundy Library was empty, the donations kept rolling in. That put them on top for the competition, and bolstered the total amount to help those in need. Between the Library and the First Federal branch, $504 was donated to knock out hunger here in Bucks.

A big thanks goes out to both organizations for their fun support of this important project. Thanks to this competition, over 1000 pounds of fresh, local produce will go to Bucks County pantries.
