PPL Contributes $10,000 to Pre-K Scholarships in Bucks County

PPL Electric Utilities recently donated $10,000 dollars to United Way of Bucks County in support of Pre-K Education through the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC).

Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program is a way for businesses to enrich educational opportunities for students and earn tax credits by donating to an Educational Improvement Organization.

United Way of Bucks County uses EITC contributions to help low- and moderate-income families with the high cost of Pre-K tuition. Early education and childcare are often the single largest expense for low-income, working families.

Children’s Developmental Program in Quakertown is one of the partner sites PPL’s generous gift will support. CDP is a community preschool and early intervention center with a prestigious Keystone Star 4 rating from Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
