Tickets On Sale Now For United Way of Bucks County’s 65th Anniversary Breakfast

The United Way of Bucks County is hosting their 65th Anniversary Breakfast &  Awards on Friday, May 5, at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland. The annual breakfast  is one of UW Bucks’ largest events of the year, bringing together hundreds of donors, advocates, and volunteers to celebrate the ways in which UW Bucks and its supporters are changing lives together in the community. Tickets are on sale now for $35 (or $280 for a table of 10) at www.uwbucks.org/annualbreakfast and all proceeds benefit the Community Impact Fund.

The event includes breakfast and will feature awards, prizes, and surprises. UW Bucks will highlight the opportunities to get involved in 2017, including Bucks Knocks Out Hunger and Stuff the Bus. These UW Bucks signature programs bring partners together to make Bucks County a stronger, healthier community.

During the breakfast, UW Bucks will honor the winners of the Dr. Stanton Kelton Service Award, the Paul Sauerbry Award, Campaign Volunteers of the Year, and those who have made an impact in key areas. The Kelton Award recognizes a board member who has significantly contributed to the goals of the organization. Todd Alderfer, the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at QNB Bank, is the recipient this year.

The Paul Sauerbry award honors a volunteer who has embraced leadership, encouraged volunteerism, and dedicated time and creativity to their endeavors with UW Bucks. Michael B. Connor, community leader and philanthropist, is this year’s winner.

The Campaign Volunteers of the Year award recognizes the year-round creative work of an individual or team in support of a United Way Bucks County campaign. This year’s award goes to the team at Dow in Bristol, PA. The Dow team are being recognized for their commitment and passion for improving lives in the community.
