This Giving Tuesday, United Way of Bucks County is unveiling its ‘Giving THANKS Tuesday’ campaign – an initiative aimed at expressing gratitude to the supporters who make the nonprofit’s mission possible.
Giving Tuesday, which falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a global day of giving. Rather than seeking donations this year, United Way of Bucks County is taking a different approach by thanking community members.
“We’re so grateful that our supporters stand united with us to close gaps and create opportunities for our neighbors in need,” said Marissa Christie, President & CEO at United Way of Bucks County. “Since every one of our donors, advocates, and volunteers is special and unique, we have a message for each of them that is special and unique.”
Christie encourages community members to visit www.givingthankstuesday.org starting the morning of Tuesday, November 28th. Each visitor will receive a personal message of thanks.
“Folks are welcome to share the link with anyone in their life that they want to thank. With your help, we can reach our Giving THANKS Tuesday goal of thanking 1,000 supporters in just one day!” added Christie.
Along with thanking supporters virtually, the campaign will feature United Way staff spotlighting some of their supporters by thanking them in person. Community members can follow along on the nonprofit’s social media handle @uwbucks.
