Here in Bucks County 4 out of 25 kids struggle to have their basic needs met.
That is 4 children in every classroom who don’t have the proper tools needed to start the school year on the right foot, who feel ashamed and embarrassed that they are not prepared.
For these kids, things we consider ‘basics’ — like back to school supplies can be hard to come by.
Together, we can change that.
In 2017, Stuff the Bus donors and volunteers achieved a HUGE milestone by providing 2,868 kids in need with backpacks filled with school supplies!
This year we are anticipating the number of requests for backpacks from nonprofits, school districts, and families to increase again.
Our goal for 2018 is to pack 3,000 backpacks and we need your help to make that happen and to make this the BIGGEST STUFF THE BUS EVER!
There are a few ways that you can help STUFF THE BUS!
1. Donate online: A backpack filled with required school supplies costs about $35 per child, but all donations are welcome!
2. Mail a check to: United Way at 413 Hood Blvd, Fairless Hills, PA 19030 with “Stuff the Bus” in the memo line.
3. Bring your donation of NEW school supplies to any of the STB collection sites on Monday 8/13 or Tuesday 8/14. A complete list of supplies can be found here.
4. Volunteer at Stuff the Bus.
