IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Recap: Fall Harvest Day
On Saturday, October 12, volunteers and staff got their hands dirty at our Volunteer Harvest Day at Carversville Farm Foundation!
In case you missed it:
  • We harvested 1/10 of an acre of sweet potatoes… that’s almost 500 pounds!! This produce went to food pantries throughout Bucks County for families in need.

With the help of our extraordinary community, we exceeded our goal and were able to help all of the older kids and teens on our Holiday Gift Card Drive wait-list – and then some!
Over 1,700 children were helped through the Holiday Gift Card Drive in 2019! Thank you again to everyone who helped!

Recap: Let’s get to work
In November, we set a goal to help more people stay on the road to self-sufficiency by the end of 2019. With the help of some awesome car dealers, we were able to help 8 families by providing CARS!
All recipients are part of the Bucks County Opportunity Council Economic Self-Sufficiency Program and are on education and employment tracks. Each recipient was also on the waitlist for BCOC’s #Wheelz2Work program.
