Looking for a way to give back to those in need this holiday season? United Way of Bucks County is hosting a Holiday Gift Card Drive, to make sure all kids in Bucks County get a great gift this year!
Conventional toy drives are great for kids and families who are struggling to make ends meet this holiday season. But teddy bears, power rangers and Barbies might not be as exciting for older siblings who may be wishing for a new Eagles jersey or even just the opportunity to go to Starbucks with some friends.
That’s where the gift cards come in! We want to make sure that ALL kids in Bucks County get a gift they’re excited about this year. Gift cards give older kids and teens the chance to go out and enjoy themselves with their friends and get something they really want. Giving kids the gift of choice and a chance to pick something for themselves is one of the most empowering things you can do this holiday season.
We recommend gift cards without activation fees, to trendy clothing stores, sports supply stores or fast food restaurants. Places like Target, Amazon and iTunes are all great options as well. For a full list of recommended stores, check out our flyer, below.
We will be collecting donations until Monday, December 22nd. There are three ways to get involved:
- Gift cards can be dropped off at our Lower Bucks Office (413 Hood Blvd, Fairless Hills, PA 19030) between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Donations can also be made by mailing in a check with “Gift Card Drive” in the memo line.
- Gifts can be made online at www.uwbucks.org/donate, by selecting “Gift Card Drive” as the designation.
