CURRENT LYFT PROJECTS
Get Caught Doing the Right Thing

LYFT is currently developing a program that encourages local liquor stores to check IDs. Stores that are found to card consistently are rewards with incentives, while stores that are lax about checking IDs will be reminded that it is the law to check identification for anyone appearing under the age of 35.

Creating Lasting Family Connections Program

Pennsbury LYFT in collaboration with The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. will offer a 5 week alcohol prevention program for youth and their families, including one summer session. It is a Family Strengthening program.

The purpose of this interactive program is to provide youth (grades 5th-9th) their families, and other caring adults with an effective program designed to promote healthy development and to enrich family communication focusing on substance use and abuse education, increasing communication skills and life skills.

Sticker Shock Campaign

Recently, the Teen Advisory Group, along with members of LYFT staff, participated in a Sticker Shock Campaign at a local beer distributor. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board supplied stickers that volunteers placed on cases of beer, reminding customers that it is illegal to supply alcohol to minors.
