Stuff the Bus

Here in Bucks County, about 20,000 kids struggle to have their basic needs met. For these kids, things we may consider ‘basics’- like back to school supplies – can be hard to come by

We believe it’s critically important for ALL kids to start the school year with the right supplies. That’s why we need your help with Stuff the Bus.

In 2014, thanks to our donors and volunteers, we distributed 1,088 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to kids in need.

Our goal in 2015 is 1,251 backpacks to Bucks County kids – a 15% increase in 2015!

2015 Stuff the Bus collection dates are August 18 – 19 and bags will be assembled on Thursday, August 20.

Right now, we are looking for volunteers to help with publicity and marketing and hosting mini-drives. Later, we will also be looking for volunteers to help sort supplies and pack bags.

Host your own ‘mini-drive’.  If you have what it takes to get other people excited about a project, try hosting your own mini-drive! Our volunteers have hosted drives at work, in their neighborhoods, and even ‘Stuff the Bus’ parties at home.

To get involved, please contact Danielle Bush at danielleb@uwbucks.org or 215.949.1660 ext 112.
